Salt, Beer, Sunlight and Women . . .

While purging books this weekend,
I came across this quote:
“Then the Nepalese doctor said . . .
A patient should keep away from four poisons:
1. Salt harms his bones.
2. Beer harms his flesh.
3. Sunlight harms his skin.
4. Women harm the strength of his body.
If someone makes do without these four, his strength
and happiness will be increased and he will recover soon.
His life will be as long as that of sun and moon,
his strength will be greater than that of a wild man of the woods,
and his movements will be faster than the wind.”
