Tax Tips #001 = How Purging and Spring Cleaning Can Benefit You and Others
By drandrewcolyer | April 4, 2008
Following my Total Makeover with Glenn Laiken and Alandales on March 12th,
I just finished (almost) cleaning out my closet. I still have to purge ties.
But here’s the total so far:
- 39 shirts
- 17 pairs of pants
- 3 sweaters
- 3 turtleneck/pullover shirts
- 2 pairs of shoes
- 1 leather jacket
- 1 Blazer/Jacket
- 1 wool trench coat
- more
How is this a Tax Tip, and does it benefit others?
According to my Maven Accountant, Robert Greene, CPA, CMA,
make a list of what you are purging, take pictures,
and then you can donate your items of clothing to a homeless shelter,
the Salvation Army, or Goodwill, and take a tax deduction!
Ask your accountant about this, or click on the link above to
contact Robert Greene yourself. He is the most amazing awesome accountant ever.
And he follows the law. It’s just a shame that most accountants don’t know the law
well enough to understand and follow all of the tax-related IRS codes that exist.
And, this will really help the people in the homeless shelter. Just use Google to find
the one nearest you.
Thank you.
